Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 35!
Bravo Lexia kids!  Three more students working hard to grow their brains with Lexia!

More Positive Bus Kids Awards!  Well done ladies!
We learned about Picasso in art this week.  We listened to this wonderful story and created our own masterpieces.
Enjoy the story below.

In math we continued to review addition and subtraction using several new games and a few learned earlier in the year.

We had special visitors come to our class this week to talk to us about The Zones of Regulation.  Mrs. Derosa and Mrs. Schutte came to help us understand our feelings and what to do to regulate our emotions.

Enjoy this book below.

Week 34!
Check out our Lexia award recipient.  Keep up the hard work!
We also celebrated our Positive Bus Kids this week.   Keep up the great bus behaviour!
This week we started to review in math.  Here the students are revisiting trading for tens.

We enjoyed our meetings with our graphic designers.  We are very excited to see the finished design. Thank you to everyone who has brought in a new white t-shirt so that the designs can be transferred onto them.  I will be taking the t-shirts to the graphic designers tomorrow morning so please ensure your child has brought their t-shirt by tomorrow morning.

Eric shared his Ukrainian dance costumes and shared a little Ukrainian culture with us.

We had the grade nine French class come to perform a small play in French for us
We had to guess which fairytale they were retelling in their play.  Ask your child if they remember which classic fairytale was shared.
We enjoyed investigating bugs in our environment this week.

Discussions were rich and co-operation was evident.

Students were excited and engaged throughout this activity.

We also took some time to enjoy our outdoor classroom by planting new plants in the planter boxes.  We worked with our grade one and two friends.  What a great way to end our week!
