Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 38!

What an amazing week in 2H!  We started the week with a day at the spray park.

In math we started our graphing activities with some Smartie math.

We graphed what we like to eat at BBQ and discovered that 2H  likes hamburgers best.
We graphed our favourite summer fruit and discovered that watermelon was very popular.
On Wednesday we attended a beautiful grade four farewell celebration.

We worked on our year end folders in preparation for our year end celebration next week.  We  wrote about our favourite memories of grade two.

We also reflected on some of the great qualities we each have shared throughout our year together.  These will also be added to our year end folder.

We discussed what our future might hold.  Our future is safe in their capable hands!

In art we designed and made spiders.  Thanks to Tripp's family for donating this craft.
Check out these amazingly unique creations!

On Friday we celebrated Mr. Willsher with our Mini Mr.  Willsher outfits.  The kids looked amazing!
We got to enjoy some singing in the sunshine!

Mr. Willsher was thrilled with his "mini mes"!
 We will miss Mr.  Willsher!
Enjoy a fabulous weekend and we look forward to seeing you at our year end celebration on Wednesday morning.

Week 37!

We started the week with an amazing First Nations presentation by staff and students from the Kipohtakaw Education Centre.

We ended our time together with a traditional friendship circle dance.
We reviewed and reflected on our religion journey this year with these wonderful posters.
In math we continued to assess what we learned about 2D shapes and 3D objects.  Check out this amazing 3D object made by one of our amazing classmates.
We also discovered that most students in our class like to swim in the deep water at the pool and nobody likes to dive off the diving board or make a big splash.
We were treated to a wonderful French presentation from the grade four students called "Les Trois Petits Cochons".

We worked hard over the last few weeks creating wonderful Father's Day surprises for our Dads.

We have a exciting week ahead of us! Our trip to the spray park is scheduled for Monday but the weather forecast continues to frequently change.  A decision will be made on Monday morning and you will be notified via email if we are not going.  If we decide the weather is not co-operating, we will leave all our spray park gear at school and wait for the next spray park friendly day this week.  I've already spoken to the students about this possibility.
The second big event this week is Mr.  Willsher's Retirement celebration with the whole Saint John community.  As you already know from a previous email, the students will present Mr.  Willsher with a word they feel best describes him  As they do this they will be dressed as a mini Mr.  Willsher so please remind your child to bring their outfit to school this week or come dressed on Friday morning.  If you require assistance or clarification please don't hesitate to contact me.
