Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 37!

We started the week with an amazing First Nations presentation by staff and students from the Kipohtakaw Education Centre.

We ended our time together with a traditional friendship circle dance.
We reviewed and reflected on our religion journey this year with these wonderful posters.
In math we continued to assess what we learned about 2D shapes and 3D objects.  Check out this amazing 3D object made by one of our amazing classmates.
We also discovered that most students in our class like to swim in the deep water at the pool and nobody likes to dive off the diving board or make a big splash.
We were treated to a wonderful French presentation from the grade four students called "Les Trois Petits Cochons".

We worked hard over the last few weeks creating wonderful Father's Day surprises for our Dads.

We have a exciting week ahead of us! Our trip to the spray park is scheduled for Monday but the weather forecast continues to frequently change.  A decision will be made on Monday morning and you will be notified via email if we are not going.  If we decide the weather is not co-operating, we will leave all our spray park gear at school and wait for the next spray park friendly day this week.  I've already spoken to the students about this possibility.
The second big event this week is Mr.  Willsher's Retirement celebration with the whole Saint John community.  As you already know from a previous email, the students will present Mr.  Willsher with a word they feel best describes him  As they do this they will be dressed as a mini Mr.  Willsher so please remind your child to bring their outfit to school this week or come dressed on Friday morning.  If you require assistance or clarification please don't hesitate to contact me.
