Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 25!
Cadence was our star student this week!
Cadence would like to be a ballet dancer when she grows up.  She loves the colour pink!

More Lexia awards!
We celebrated learning our math facts with our banana split party!

For art this week we created some March themed pictures.

We continued to investigate and explore magnets in science.
We learned what attracts and repels a magnet.
In DPA we learned the Bunny Hop, Chicken Dance and the Macarena.
We then created dances of our own which we'll present next week.

In math we played a game with the days of the week.

We reflected on our writing this week. We decided on WOW pieces of work and WORKS IN PROGRESS.  We celebrated our successes and set goals for improving our writing.
On Friday we built leprechaun traps which we will set up on Monday after our field trip in preparation for St. Patrick's Day. The students demonstrated amazing creativity!

I love moments when the students demonstrate that they have surpassed my expertise and are taking ownership for their learning.  A student brought this in to class and tried to explain one of Einstein's theories to me.
Please be aware that with the beautiful spring weather we have huge puddles.  If you would like to send extra pants and socks for your child in the unfortunate event that they get wet, please feel free to do so.
We are heading to our field trip first thing on Monday morning so please ensure the students are at school on time.  There is no need to bring a backpack, kanga pouch or snow pants.  Only a disposable  lunch is required.
