Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 27!

Mr.  Walker came to talk to us about Holy Week and he brought palms with him.

We opened all of our Resurrection Eggs before spring break.
Ask your child to explain the contents of the final three eggs.

Thank you to everyone who came out to parent student teacher conferences.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend and enjoyed their chocolate eggs and Kinder toys.

We practiced  "Read to Someone" with our grade nine buddies from Saint John Paul II High School before spring break.

Enjoy your spring break and I look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, April 5th.

Week 26!
Cameron was our Star Student this week!
We opened more Resurrection Eggs this week.  Please ask your child to explain each of the items we found in the eggs.

We continued to learn about temperature and made thermometers in science.
We made leprechaun traps. We hoped to catch a leprechaun then ask where he keeps his gold.

Each leprechaun trap was unique and creative.

We sent Mrs.  Holland a video of us singing "Happy Birthday" to her.
On St. Patrick's Day we got to school and found the classroom a mess.
We had visitors who left small green footprints all over the classroom!

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with lots of themed activities.

We created some beautiful St. Patrick's Day art.

We did some St. Patrick's Day research.

Take some time to check Fresh Grade with your child. Papers were sent home on Friday.  Please identify strengths and challenges then set a goal for the remaining months of grade two.  Please bring your completed papers to your conference.

Please make sure that you have booked an appointment to meet on Monday or Tuesday to discuss your child's progress in grade two.  I look forward to our time together.
