Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 25!

Bernard was our Star Student this week!

More students earned Lexia awards this week!
We had a special guest in our class on Monday.  Jim Murphy came to visit our class to talk about God.
In science we wondered if snow took up more space before or after it melted.  Most of us thought that it would take up more space after it melts.

Ask your child what we discovered.
We learned about the heating system in the school from Mrs.  Moore.
We had lots of good questions for her about why certain parts of the school are colder than others.
In math we worked on measurement.
We used string to measure around an object then we measured how long the string was.
Mr.  Berg came to talk to us again about being social detectives.
We focused on the Our Father prayer this week in religion.
We worked to put the words in order.

We also talked about the Holy Trinity.  This book helped us to understand.

We made shamrocks to demonstrate our understanding of the Holy Trinity.

Students brought home a letter about our Leprechaun Trap Project.  Please make sure they ahve shared it with you.

As we near Easter we have been opening our Resurrection Eggs. These eggs help us retell the Easter story.  Ask your child about the what we found in the eggs we have opened so far.
