Week 33!

Ryder worked very hard and earned a Lexia award for our class.
 We also celebrated Hudson for earning a Positive Bus Kids Award.

We learned about Waste In Our World from the grade four classes on Tuesday.

We did our last sound friend this week and read a very funny book called Chester which was about a very naughty cat.

We listened to a lovely story about a mule after learning last week about June and her pet mule.
In health we learned about dealing with bullies from Howard B.  Wigglebottom.
 In art we created these wonderful silhouettes of animals using recycled magazines.

We worked on our t-shirt designs in preparation for our meeting with our graphic designers who we will meet with next week.

We are excited to share our designs with Mayor Gale Katchur  who will be visiting our classroom on June 10th.

Week 32!

No Lexia Awards again this week but check out this Positive Bus Kid Award winner!
We displayed our Van Gogh inspired sunflower paintings this week.

We had a friendship presentation from the Fort Saskatchewan Boys and Girls Club.  We brainstormed ways we can try to show empathy and compassion for each other.
We continued to work on our Fort Saskatchewan projects by doing research about what make Fort Saskatchewan a fabulous place to live.



As we continue to celebrate the season of Easter, Mrs. Andrashewski and Ms. Chappel came to help us make Babka.








Each student brought home their own Babka to share with their family.
In math we worked on gather data and presenting our data on graphs.  We collected data on favourite flavours of ice cream in 2H.


We also collected data about the favourite pizza toppings in 2H.




We ended our week with a visit from Mr.  Walker.

Week 31!

Congratulations to Reece who received the sacrament of Communion last Sunday.
Yeah!  We are back on track with Lexia.  Check out these proud Lexia Award winners!
We went to the symphony this week.  We had amazing seats behind the orchestra!

 We started an exciting project based learning activity about Fort Saskatchewan this week.  Here we are getting started.  
 Very serious work being done.

 Look at the concentration and engagement.
 In math we started working with graphs and data.  We created this concrete graph to show our favourite colours.
 This pictograph shows how many boys and girls are in our class.

 This concrete graph shows the eye colours in our class.
 We then transfered the data onto a pictograph
 We created this pictograph to our favourite pets.
 We collected data on the contents of our toolbox using tally marks.

 We collected data on how we get home at the end of the school day.

We wrote tweets to share the joy of the Gospel.
