Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 27!
I hope everyone received the email sent regarding our fundraising efforts for Tonya Nixon.  Please keep the Nixon family in your prayers.
Thank you for your support and co-operation in taking the time to go through the "Evidence of Learning Portfolio" with your child.  This feedback from you is essential for their success.  They value your opinion and look to you to receive positive reinforcement for what they are learning at school.

The April calendar has been posted on the school website.

In math we continue to work on double digit subtraction with regrouping using base tens and other strategies.  This video on subtraction with regrouping using base tens is similar to what we do in class.  Please keep in mind that we only go up to 100 for subtraction in grade two.

We discovered that most students in our class prefer pizza for lunch.

We continued on our Lenten journey by exploring how we can help other children in other parts of the world.

Several student celebrated receiving the Holy Sacrament of Reconciliation at Our Lady of the Angels Church.  Congratulations!

We ended the our week before spring break with a reward for our hard work and responsible behaviour choices with a PJ Day and a movie.

I hope everyone is enjoying their spring break and I look forward to seeing "the grade two gang" next week.
