Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 18!
We celebrated Tripp as our star student this week.
Tripp loves meerkats and is looking forward to being a bachelor when he grows up.
Check out these smarty pants who earned Lexia certificates this week.  Lots of hard work goes into earning these certificates!  Well done 2H crew!
Exciting news started our week as we earned our chocolate scoop.
We used 88 pennies to shop at a yard sale this week.
We ended our week by earning our whipped cream.  We are working hard on our sprinkles at the moment.  We are so close. Just sprinkles, cherry and spoon to go!
Mr.  Walker, our shared school chaplain, stopped by for a visit.  We prayed, laughed  and sang together.
We finished and displayed our Ted Harrison art this week.
On Friday we had our Acadian presentation.  We learned about how Acadians dressed long ago.
We learned about Acadians carding wool to make clothes.
We learned how Acadians made their own butter and even got to make our own butter.
We learned that Acadian people ate seafood.  We built a crab puzzle because they ate crabs.
 We learned about weaving.
We got to try weaving.
We learned about all the chores that Acadian children did.  They worked very hard!
Acadian children were allowed to play after their chores were complete.
We learned about daily Acadian life.

We even got to play the spoon and listen to some Acadian music.
We had a good time learning about Acadian life!

A huge thank you to our volunteers who came out to help us.  We can't do it without you!

Week 17!
This week we celebrated Hudson as our star student.
Hudson loves sushi and Mucho Burrito.  He'd like to be a scientist when he grows up.

We also celebrated Ryder's hard work on Lexia.

2H led the assembly this week.  The students did an amazing job teaching the school about John the Baptist!

We finished our New Year's goals and displayed them this week.
We worked on lots of math activities this week.  This is the number 88 made in different ways.
We used money to add big numbers up to $1.00.
Some students worked on making a giant hundred chart.
We used base ten blocks to add big numbers.
As a class we have now earned our chocolate scoop and are very close to earning our whipped cream.
In science we made a human thermometer showing some very extreme temperatures.
In art we worked with oil pastels to create Ted Harrison pictures.  Our finished products will be displayed next week.
We had a great day singing, dancing and praying on Thursday with Face To Face Ministries.

We ended the week by celebrating the beautiful weather with some snowman building with our friends from 2AD.

Have a great weekend!
