Week 28!
Wow! Check out at these hard working Lexia kids!
We learned from the Snoodle Doo that we all have special gifts to share with the others and it matters most how God sees us.
Just as the Snoodle Doo did, we painted pictures of how God sees us.
We learned about Ukrainian people who came to Alberta long ago.
We learned about Ukrainian Easter eggs.
We learned about Ukrainian toys and tools.
We learned about the challenges of the land and weather that Ukrainian people encountered when they came to Alberta.
We learned about the natural resources available to Ukrainians when they came to Alberta and how they used those natural resources.
We heard some Ukrainian music and did a little Ukrainian dancing.
We listened to a inspiring story about a Ukrainian couple who built a life together on the Prairies. It is a story of Anna and Ivan, two young newly-weds who escape poverty and hardship in Ukraine to start a new life on the Canadian frontier. As they struggle to build their homestead, World War I breaks out. And when Ivan volunteers to fight for his new homeland, tragedy strikes. While Anna works and waits alone, hope comes from a surprising place.
We introduced a new math game this week. I've taped your child's username and password to the inside cover of their agenda. Here is the link to the game. https://prodigygame.com/Play/
