Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 21!
We started our week off with a celebration.  We earned the "Quietest Class Award" from Mrs.  Melnyk for walking so quietly in the hallway last week.
Mrs.  Melnyk rewarded us with our very own class copy of her February "Principal's Pick".  Everyone is enjoying this wonderful story.
In science we continued to investigate with magnets.  Check out these scientists testing different materials to see if they were attracted to a magnet.

We made sure we recorded our observations to share with others.

This week we had our first two students to earn their entire banana split for learning their math facts.
We had three more students earn their banana split later in the week.  Sadly, one of our smartie pants was sick so we didn't get a photograph.
I noticed some students are coming to school without mittens and toques.  Although we had indoor recess for most of the week it is very important that students are dressed for the chilly weather.

We have had a few issues with lunch time behaviour since we came back after the Christmas break.  The students have come up with a plan moving forward.
Everyone signed the lunch time contract to show their commitment to a successful lunch time together.
