We have been learning some Power of Ten math games using the Power of Ten Cards.  If you are interested in learning more about The Power of Ten please go to http://poweroften.ca 

We get our brains ready to do some creative writing by drawing before we write.  Then we read a story about what we have drawn.  Finally, we label adjectives, nouns and verbs.  We then use those adjectives, nouns and verbs to create interesting sentences.  The pink cards are adjectives.  The blue cards are nouns and the green cards are verbs.  

Mr.  Berg, our school counsellor,  came to introduce himself to us and show us a few magic tricks.

Students will be bringing home a Growth as a Learner sheet at the end of each month.  They will self-reflect on how they feel they have grown over the month and identify areas that they may need more growth.  I will give the students feedback after they have reflected.  They will then set a goal for the coming month.  

Library will be on a Monday this year.  Please help your child to remember their library books.
