Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 11!

This week we celebrated Joshua as our star student.
Joshua shared a wonderful powerpoint of himself through the years.  Starting at his cute baby pictures through to his amazing grown up grade two self.  The students had lots of questions for Joshua!
More smarty pants got Lexia certificates this week!  Keep up the great work!

In science we continued to explore boats and buoyancy.  We made cork boats.

We learned about keels.

We made foil boats.

 We learned about balancing cargo.

 We also made paddle boats.

In math we wrote fishy math number sentences and stories.

We also practiced our math facts using our Power of Ten cards.

We are still practicing what we know about numbers with our Number of the Day.

We earned our bowl this week for our Banana Split Math and we're currently working on wearing our banana.  Keep practicing those math facts at home!

In art we read a story about snowmen and made our own snowmen pictures that we'll share next week.

In language arts we finished our creative writing stories.  We were all proud of our hard work!

We also read a story about a tiger when we reviewed our sound friend Timmy Tiger.

In health we learned about managing our emotions as we read this wonderful book.

Have a wonderful weekend!
