Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 19!
This week we celebrated Sydney as our star student.
Sydney would like to be a scientist when she grows up and enjoyed some whitewater rafting on the Athabasca River last summer.
Check out our Lexia crew for this week.  Way to go guys!  Keep up the hard work!
Fort the first time this year we celebrated everyone remembering to bring their library books on Tuesday with a special treat from Mrs.  Buban.
In the beautiful sunny weather, we continued to explore temperature for science.

We used thermometers to test the temperature inside and outside.
We made our own thermometers and tested them in hot water.
We ended our week by making some predictions about what will happen on Groundhog Day.  Most of the students think that the groundhog will see his shadow.  I guess we'll have to wait and see.
We will be using the following links to do some research on groundhogs and Groundhog Day in the coming week.
