Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 25!

Your child should have brought home this note regarding conferences this month.  Please remember to book your conference time.  If you experience any problems please contact the office.

Another banana split was earned this week!
In math we talked about related facts, also known as fact families.
We also reviewed all our ten facts.
We have been building our CAFE menu of reading strategies by exploring several great books.

Mrs.  Melnyk came to read her Principal's Pick for March.  We all got to put in some pretty groovy magic sunglasses.

In social we learned more about Inuit culture.

In science we learned more about magnets during our presentation.  We reviewed magnets attracting and repelling.
We explored and tested items that were attracted or not attracted to magnets.
We explored the strength of magnets with steady hands.

 We played with magnetic putty.

We heard a story about a magnetic dog.

Then we made a dog park game using magnets.

In art we read Ten Black Dots and created our own creative black dots pictures.
This student used their dots for earrings.
This students used their black dots as tastebuds on a tongue.
Another student used their dots as screws on the hinges of a door.
