Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don’t give only your care, but give your heart as well –Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Week 28!

In religion the students have been talking about Lent.
A note was sent home this week about a school fundraiser.
Charlotte was our star student this week.

We had a lot of injuries this first week back after spring break.  We read this funny book about body parts and discussed ways of keeping our parts from falling apart.

More students earned their banana splits this week.

We worked on making a model using tally marks to work on our addition math facts.  We checked our work with a calculator after we finished making our model.
It was easy to see which facts we needed to work on.
We had our first junior options this week.  Some of us took part in a drawing lesson.
We discovered that we can all be artists.
We made rekenreks for math.

We used our rekenreks to practice our math facts by making numbers up to 20 in several different ways and challenging each other to come up with as many ways as we could.

Mrs.  Morgan came to help us with our  Google Classroom social studies Iqaluit slide shows.
In science we sorted things that are hot and cold.

Book orders are due on Wednesday, April 12th.
